Help for the average looking and vertically challenged. 5'5

It's all mental, dude. Here's the thing -- being tall is naturally attractive, and there are mechanisms for why this is so. The good news is, with enough charm, none of this shit matters. I'm 5-6, and my past 2 favorite girls were taller than me. Not by much, mind you, but keep in mind that if a girl is 5-7 or 5-8, she's probably used to dating guys who are at least 5-10 or taller.

However, there are lots of ways to mitigate this. Step 1: hit the gym. There's a huge difference between 5-5 and skinny and 5-5 with meat on your frame. I'm not sure if you are a gym member, but r/fitness is a really really good resource. I think for people like us, it's better to go for "stocky" than "ripped"...I've had success with Starting Strength, which has really thickened up my base (ass/legs are underrated, dude), shoulders, chest, and back.

Step two: hair. I started gelling my hair up kind of like Jason Bateman (people say I kind of look like him, so that's where I got the idea) -- it makes me at least an inch taller. I don't have "spikes" or anything, but I gel up the front and keep the sides cropped shorter. Standard guy haircut, but it's a must if you're shorter.

Step 3: be loud. Really. I hear all the time that I have a sexy voice -- I guess I'm vocally gifted, but it wasn't always the case. Tons of weirdos will make a big deal out of using a ton of inflection, but I find that speaking slowly, clearly, and loudly is enough. Also, don't be afraid to shake up and be a little anti-establishment and let your charisma go to work.

Bottom line: yes, we're shorter, and it does put us at a disadvantage. But it's easy to mitigate with some work and getting over the mental blocks. Odds are it's not your height that's holding you back -- it's your approach to the game.

I'm 5'4" and dated a girl that was 5'10" for two years. She said the biggest thing was that I never seemed self-conscious about it or seemed to notice that other people were way taller than me. Honestly there's not much you can do, but you definitely have to have way more confidence than the average guy. Taller guys are usually naturally more confident because being physically bigger than someone makes them feel powerful. If you don't make a big deal about it nobody else will.

Has nothing to do with height, look at tyler durden, I think he's 5'5" too. It's all in the confidence, how you carry yourself no matter if others are looking at you or not.

Looks don't matter much with girls from what I have seen. There are PUAS in wheelchairs who get 10s.
