Hey Seddit, this is a long one but I need some advice. So at the start of Fall semester at my University, I was at a party pretty much just hanging out with some buddies and one of my friends brought his girlfriend and she brought along 3 or 4 of her friends. Immediately I was attracted to one of these friends, let's call her Alice. So the first time I saw her, I was extremely attracted to her but only saw her for a little bit as she left the room we were in and I didn't see her the rest of the party. Sometime during that night though, one of the other friends came up and told me "Hey, Alice thinks you're pretty cute." I saw her a couple more times during the semester at frat parties while I was pledging but I never made a move because one of the older brothers was really obsessed with her, and would not leave her side. (She was not interested in him) Towards the end of the year we met again at a smaller party at a mutual friends house, this time I struck up a conversation teasing her about the obsessed brother. During our conversation we were talking about one of the formal parties for the fraternity, and she told me "I heard you wanted to ask me to your formal but couldn't because of him (the obsessed brother)." To me, that was a clear IOI, plus I knew she thought I was cute. So I talked to her a bit more and number closed before she left. When I first got her number I used it strictly to set up a date and asked her to go get some dinner with me. She declined at first but then immediately re-scheduled for the day after which I thought was another good sign. At least she didn't blow me off. So we went and everything went well, I didn't K-close because I wimped out and regret it like crazy. Anyways we would text about 3 times a week, mostly initiated by me. A huge road block came up right at the end of the semester when I had to go back home and attend a community college due to financial needs. We continued to text and I asked her to hangout over Christmas break while she was home and she just never really made the initiative to try, so I thought she gave up on me until over text she made it clear she wanted me to go back to the Uni to hangout with her and party. After that I was pretty confused. She came home again for a couple days about two weeks ago and I asked her if she wanted to see a movie and she said that because she was only home for a day or two, her parents wanted her to stay and spend time with them. After that I was thinking either she's blowing me off again or she really is busy. We still text about every other day, I'm still initiating, but most of the time it's up beat and it sounds like she really wants me to come back and party with her. Every time she is going out she always text me during the party which seems like she is pretty interested in me. -Oh yeah, and it's kind of tough for me to go up to the Uni often because I have to share a car with my mom until I can get my own, which should be soon. The reason I came here is to see what you guys think. I wouldn't say I'm really tied to her but if there's a way to make this work, I'd like to. What would you guys do. -Also, Alice's birthday is February 13 and she told me to come up the weekend before or after to party with her. Here's my thoughts. - She maybe interested in me, but maybe a little shy to hangout while she's home because she doesn't want her parents to find out. So what should I do? Should I just tell her immediately I'm pretty interested in her? Should I wait until I go up for her birthday, if I do, and try to make it clear then? Should I honestly give up?
