I would still show her that I am interested in her (obviously not during her mid-cry about wanting to breakup). There’s nothing wrong with this. I wouldn’t call this “making a move” but more like being honest with yourself and with her. Just try not to have any expectations, be honest for honest sake. Let her figure out how to respond to your interest, and respect her decisions.

If you never give her any reason to consider you as something more than a friend, she possibly never will. By telling her, you are better off no matter the outcome.

This is the most vulnerable phase not only for her but you as well my friend. Let the things have there own natural course. It might be possible she realise even after having her boyfriend your were the major part of her happiness or even she might not acknowledge it.
