Hello everyone.

So I'd say I'm a pretty likeable guy. Smart, good conversationalist, and I'm pretty good on the inital approach (If I do say so myself). But one thing that I've struggled with for years is closing.

I just never seem to be able to make the transition from "talking" to "closing". It always feels like a clunky gear change. I worked as a salesman for a (very short) while, and I noticed that I struggled with closing there as well.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but It's obviously something I do in both places. My boss there told me (before I quit) that my problem was that I was trying to convince the contacts rationally. Maybe that's related? Not sure.

Anyway, has anyone ever dealt with anything like this? What helped you overcome it? Any exercises that I can try tonight?
