First off, get rid of that expectation that you should be hooking up just because others are. What others are doing shouldn't matter to you, you should be going there to have fun and make new friends, if fun for you is hooking up then hook up, but if it's not then don't worry about that.

As for tips on approaching girls, you can approach them anyway you want just be confident about it. Some examples though, you could go up to her and say, "Hey, we haven't met yet I'm AllKnowingMind." or "Hi, haven't I seen you around school you always hang out by that tree." Don't think about it too much just go there have fun and enjoy yourself.

Just drink some beers and smoke a fat blunt and you will have enough confidence to just approach the girls and talk to them. It's just a party dont stress it :)
