Be yourself and just talk to them lol, they're just as nervous talking to you as you are talking to them...you're treating it like it's rocket science. There's tons of stuff online if you search for it also and guides on the side.

Do anything and everything in school and branch out.
Find out who you are as an individual.
Whatever attributes you find yourself good at continue to strengthen.
Self improve and test new stuff. Work out, change your style, etc
Branch out to other schools, gives you opportunity to experiment.
Be yourself. Sounds cliché but "You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life." You may find that being yourself doesn't please everyone, but it's better to have a group of friends that can relate and have a great bond rather than everyone but with a miniscule bond

ANDDD if you fuck up, yay college :D fuck high school. Good luck make some good memories while you're there time flies mann...

Ask them lots of questions and be genuinely interested in them. Get them to tell you about their lives. Spend time with them, and when the moment is right, make some contact (hand holding, hugs). Smile a lot and make eye contact. It's literally this simple.
