Today was my first real face to face interaction with a college girl. Being a senior in high-school and an AFC, it was very nervewracking. So here's what went down:

I go to a carnival that was happening at a college nearby (Tulane for those wondering) and hear that there is a "date auction" going on. So I go and here I am sitting through the performances having a great time. The time then comes foe the first person to be auctioned for a date. I'd say she is an HB 8-9. So the bid gets to $150 and me thinking I would be funny, screamed out $150 and a penny. Well, I won the bid and had to go down to pay that. There she was, sitting there and I open: "Hey how's it going? I really did NOT expect to win."

She introduced herself and at this point, I was a nervous wreck and just straight up said I was in highschool still. After that, and I'm not even sure WHY I would even say it, I said "this is the longest I've held a conversation with any girl." Stupid yes. She was giving me awws and whatnot. I just got her number and rejoined my friends who laughed at me.

Any tips I can do to improve myself? I've read a lot of seddit, but I couldn't implement anything in my nervous state. Plus, I have a date within the next two weeks. What should I do then and how?

Update: Not surprising, I texted her afterwards and she replied "sorry my phone is about to die. Ill text you later." But I'm not down in the dumps. I donated $105.01 to charity and I don't regret a bit of it
