The other night I was out with some friends. I approached a lot of women and although I couldn't close anything I had a good time.

After we left the bar my friend said he tried to hook me up with this girl, but she had said I looked to intimidating. This is not the first time this happens. When I approach women directly they usually turn away.

A friend once said semi-serious that people will avoid me when they see me on the street. But this has become a reality. When I walk alone at night people are scared of me. They go out of my way or nervously say goodnight. As I'm a kindhearted nerd who used to be bullied this always amuses me, but now I think it can hurt my chances with women.

I'm naturally a shy, introvert who had a severe case of approach anxiety. The shyness and approach anxiety have improved a hundredfold and I'm now at a point I'm no longer feeling bad when being rejected. Meanwhile my confidence has definitely improved as well.

I'm not going to post a picture, but I will describe my appearance. I've been hitting the gym seriously for more than 3 years, which means I'm a lean, broad shouldered, 88kg at a height of 185cm. I've been balding since my late teens, so I have a buzz-cut with a trimmed 5 day beard. I also got what I call a "resting serial killer face", which means that when I'm not laughing people automatically think I'm angry (some people say I've got the same eyes as Putin). I try to compensate this by smiling and laughing a lot. I dress casually with jeans and T-shirt.

So my question is, how do I become less intimidating to women?
