I’m at the point where I just started trying to get girls numbers in public rather than apps.

I can strike up a conversation by complimenting them on something they’re wearing or maybe they have a dog and I talk about their dog. However, how do I transition into asking for their number?

Do I just say by the way I find you very cute. I was wondering if I can take you out for a drink some time?
