So i meet this girl at the airport seating next to me waiting for our flight, so i tried to talk to her. I asked what time it was, she replied and the conversation died there, then like 30 secs i asked her what state she was visiting in the country we were going ( cause we were on the same flight) she told me and the convo died again, then 20 secs later she asked me what state was i visiting then i told her and that was it ( i guess she was also shy and wanted me to keep the conversation going). When we arrived in the country, she was waiting for her cousin to pick her up, so i went and sat next to her trying to start something, or just say anything but i couldn't (for like 5mins, just silence and it was so awkward) cause i was to shy and then we parted ways.

Any tricks to be able to approach confidently ???
