Hey, I'm not exactly sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'll ask anyways. Please point me to the right place if it's not.

I've noticed quite a problem - I'm too selfish and entitled when it comes to women. To elaborate on a recent event: I'm a good friend (have known her for quite some time now) with a girl whom I'd like to escalate soon with. We text pretty often, but haven't seen each other in about half a month now.

Today I've gotten to see her on my commute to university and I wanted to greet her, but I failed to do so. I might need to add that at that point she was staring at the ground and she didn't intentionally "not see" me. She was chatting with a male friend of hers (from school) while walking down the street. I wanted to greet her, but it was like there was some mental barrier in my head that prevented me from doing it.

When I look back, I realized I acted that way because of the fact that she was simply walking with that guy. I had no idea who he is (and they're not in a relationship, she's single btw). He's just her normal male friend from class., nothing else. This is not the first time something like this happened. I realized I've shown a sign of weakness, entitlement and selfishness. Like I'm the only guy that she's allowed to have contact with. I just can't stand seeing her do anything with her male friends that I sometimes find as "competition". This just goes to show how weak I am. And I desperately want to fix myself up. Do you have any advice on how can I fix myself? I do not want to escalate anything before I bring myself in order cause I know it'd be bad both for me and for her.

Thanks in advance.
