I wouldn't necessarily say that.... buuut, trying to be witty over texts isn't going to get you laid.
It gets repeated often on this sub, but texts are meant for meet ups. You shouldn't lay a foundation of conversation over texts. It's nice to have a little chat... maybe 3 or 4 back and forths of basic convo, but then get to the point of a meet up.
Then you can be witty... in person
