Practice. Practice active listening skills. Practice being around people you're attracted to. Practice both.

Listen to what they have to say and respond to it without trying to one up them. Ask good questions. Read and learn more about the world so that you have interesting things to talk about.

GET OUT OF YOUR OWN HEAD. Stop weaving a conversational path to attraction and just respond to her and how she is talking. Preplanning your conversation and being in your head shows in your body language and is a turn off.

Don't think but feel. When you approach a girl you must say to her the first thing that came to your mind when u see her for a couple of reasons 1st because it feels more genuine and natural 2nd because when you say the first thing that comes up to your mind you don't think because if you start saying to your self ohh this is cheesy I gotta say something clever/smooth that's when the overthinking starts and the moment you start overthinking your mind starts to perceive danger because you wouldn't be this careful about what to say unless there is danger 3rd make sure you are feeling the right feelings when you approach not think/say the right things. The reason your mind runs out of things to say is because there is tension in the interaction and ur mind goes into the fight, flight or freeze mode. Then when you start feeling tension ur mind starts to pull your body away from danger. Imagine the tension you feel during an interaction is like touching an exposed electrical wire and when that happens you start feeling the electricity in your body ( tension ) so your first instinct is to pull away from the wire but what if you instead grab the wire more rightly now you are not in the flight mode but you have shifted into fight mode tightening your hand on the wire is the equivalent of saying something riskier. So once you compelle your mind to stay in tension it adapts to the tension and then soon after your body doesn't't feel tension anymore.

Try not to put them on a pedestal, or try to impress them. They are like any other person and there to have a conversation with you, so just listen to their words and listen, rather than trying to formulate a good response. It gets easier!
