Yes this has happened, but I'm also very intrigued by the human mind and why things work the way that they do. I am genuinely interested in how one can do it?

It's pretty easy to explain. She had a higher level mindset (e.g. 'my boyfriend dumped me/this guy I like is unavailable and OP really likes me, so why not give it a shot, although I'm not really that into him' -- not necessarily this, but I think you get the idea of what I mean by 'higher level mindset') that she obviously didn't share with you, while letting all other emotions through. This higher level mindset kept her from becoming attached to you, but because otherwise everything felt pretty much normal you didn't realize it.
She's probably not a bad person, and most of what she said (those intimate moments and conversation) was probably true. Yes, she was being egoistic and she was just too inexperienced and cowardly to handle the situation in a better way.
Don't make the mistake of starting to second-guess every interaction you had with her, even though that's probably normal human behavior. And especially, don't let this affect your ability to put any kind of trust in other girls.
Good luck man :)

Well thank you but I'm a girl :P and this isn't the first time I've heard about these situations. Hear it a lot from friends, it's just never happened to me personally before so I've never really understood the depth of the manipulation. How can come close of their conscience and not care, I think you got it spot on though with the mind set

It's when you don't like the person but are just using him for something
Can be sex, dates, money, etc

Not sure I understand the question; You want to date someone and make them fall in love with you, while yourself remaining in emotionally uncommitted whatsoever...
Why would you want that?
No not to do it myself but to decipher the characters that can and how.

Its pretty simple, you enjoy the benefits of the other person but dont feel a emotional connection. If you arent feeling the connection its easy to ignore feelings that arent there.
