How long do you see someone before you consider it being in a relationship?

There's honestly no good benchmark for this. It all boils down to the two people that are (potentially) headed towards a relationship, and there's a lot of factors - age, background, ethnicity, personal history, career, location, etc. - that will play into it.

I've known people who've been on two or three dates before they decided to be in a relationship. I've also known people who've "dated" for several months and still aren't. If you can see a future with said potential partner, be honest about it and tell her (him?). The most important thing is the mutual understanding and agreement.

totally depends on the people involved mate.

I've been in relationships that started after a couple weeks.

I've been with girls for up to 2 months that never turned to monogamous commitment.

you gotta decide what you want with the other person and then approach the subject with them. or else someone is gonna get confused.

I give it a week or so. In my experience, the talk will have happened at that point. But after a week or two you can totally have the talk if you're exclusive or not.

Maybe best not to follow my lead, I'm just a high school senior. But this is what I do.

Edit: Geez, guys, I admitted I'm no Dr. Phil here. Just throwing my two cents in.
