There's this girl in one of my classes (i'm a senior in college) who's caught my eye but never actually spoke to. Our class is one giant non-stop lecture with no group work or class interaction, and she saves seats for her friends so I've never gotten to take a seat next to her or even speak to her. She's really cute and we make eye contact quite often (not that i'm jumping to conclusions that she's into me). I was planning on just approaching her on the final day of class in 2 weeks and telling her something along the lines of:
"Hey, I know we never talked all semester but I wanted to tell you I think you're really cute and I wanted to get to know you. Would it be too much to ask for your number and possibly go out for coffee?"
However, i've been seeing some users on seddit tell other posters that their approaches are too straightforward and that girls don't like that, and i've seen others say that they just need to be straight up with the girl. This has cause me a lot of confusion and I don't know what to think anymore. I should be better in this department but my self esteem has taken some serious damage over the last year and I have NOT had luck with the ladies like I used to. Any advice would be welcomed, and I am totally accepting of tough love and constructive criticism, just don't be a dick. Thanks!
