This is going to be some bad advice.

Unless a girl is married, most relationships are temporary. Some women change statuses like clothes. I recommend trying with all women unless they are wearing wedding rings or other signs of being in a relationship.

The best way is to ask them. The problem is you will never know if they are lying or not. The next best thing is social media. It is a common thing these days for people to put their relationship status on social media. Often if someone is in a relationship, there is proof somewhere online.

Usually you express your interest and if she has any morals at all she will mention that she has a boyfriend.

I wouldn't waste time worrying about this. Focus on simply getting MORE dates. If you build a big pipeline, you are going to find the right ones eventually.
