Basically what happened is I am going through depression and I just lost all of my confidence. I was a charming little kid but once I hit middle school I just couldn’t talk to anyone. I built up these insecurities and it’s stuck with me for the past 7 years. It still is today.(I’m 19 btw) Please point me to the right direction to rebuild my confidence. Be honest and don’t hold back. I don’t think I have emotions at this point.

Here are a few factors to consider:

  • I’m not particularly funny, at least to people. I think I am, but no one ever appreciates my jokes, apparently they are too “middle aged”.

  • I’m 5’5 and overweight which makes me the shape of a teapot. I’ve lost a lot of weight since quarantine started so that’s a good start.

  • when I am in my element I just come off as cocky to people.

  • they automatically think I’m out of touch because I “dress too nice” even though I literally wear the exact same outfit every day: a plain white Uniqlo tee and a pair of black jeans and a pair of spankin white Stan smiths. Maybe a pair of sunglasses and a watch. I guess that makes me like “older”?

  • I SUCK at small talks. I think it’s pointless and leads to nowhere. (Yeah how to fix that too)
