How to initiate touching while on a date?

If I haven't gone in for a hug when we meet up... [If she extends a hand, she doesn't want a hug] then at some point when we are talking, with good rapport... I'll punctuate something I say with a tap, nudge or gentle push to an appendage.

Like she says something funny, you give a good laugh and say you like her humor and give her a light tap on the arm, wrist, hand, thigh (lower half), or knee, AS you are saying that. I usually try to punctuate humor with a light push. Like you're pushing a small button. (Not an elevator button, haha). But also not with just a single finger like a dork, it'd be like a three finger push (my pinky is short, lol).

[Don't ever touch torso without good indicators.]

Or if we are talking about an intense subject, and I want to make a point of what I said, in conclusion or something. Same idea.

Keep in mind, you are affixing emotions to these touches, so make sure the emotion is either jovial or light.

Here's where you find if this escalatable;

If she looks at where you touched her. That was a NOPE. I'd wait at least 20m before doing that again. If she looks at where you touched her again, after that wait... time to wrap the night up.

If she looks you in the eyes, or was already looking you in the eyes and doesn't break contact, or hopefully smiles, time to repeat or escalate soon after.

At this point for escalation, I usually go for the hand, and comment on how small her hand is, which it always is. [I typically don't date women that are taller than me, 6ft, cause a) not that many around, b) they usually want a taller guy, yet.]

Palm to palm is pretty intimate, how she reacts to this touch, linger or pull away. And when/if pull away, how they do it. (stung by a bee, or slowly slide away)

Honestly, at this point it's pretty easy to jump escalation to a kiss, if her hand lingers on yours after sizing her up, she wants a kiss. If you can't get the kiss at that moment, the next moment you can, take her hand again and lean in for the kiss.

Keeping in mind, if she pulls away from the hand contact... do NOT go in for the kiss ;)

Look at her and feel the attraction. Don't hide it, don't be apologetic about it. Once you've become okay with the idea of conveying your intentions and expressing your sexuality ..the touching will become more or less natural. It won't feel weird ..you'll kind of know what to do since your body isn't getting held back by your mind.

Hand on her back sort of gesture when speaking sort of thing works, a hug at first might work, playful nudge maybe given the right situation.

Be closer. You need proximity to begin with. Be in her personal space.

I do this thing where I'll be walking with her, and I'll purposefully bump into her. "watch where you're going.". Then it repeats and the joke is very obvious. (arm around her) "Are you ok? I can get you that cab."
