Hello, everyone. I'm a sophmore in high school, and I just recently read the 48 Laws of Power. A big thing I took away from it is self-reinvention. I'm asking on here instead of the 48 laws sub, since this has more people. Anyway, the problem is, it is pretty hard to reinvent yourself when you are still in the same place with the same people who already have an opinion of you. I have 3 years left, and I'd like to become more popular. Here's some info about me: Setting: 2000+ people population, Missouri public school, pretty much mostly rich suburban white/asian kids (I'm asian). The beast at sports, with some nationally ranked teams. Also a really good debate and newspaper. Pretty chill but cliquey at the same time- there is really no bullying and everyone talks to each other, but people only hang out with people in their cliques. Me: Asian kid, pretty nice but not very popular. I know and (or at least I think) am decently liked with most popular kids. Still, I can't haggling out with them, because again, cliques. I did some stupid shit last year, which people still remember. I do debate, and I'm one of, if not the best LD debaters in the state- I've already won 4 tournaments. I don't do any sports at school, but I do fencing outside school. I'm also a filmmaker, and have been shown at some film festivals. I'm not bad looking but kind of awkward (bad hair) and style. Plans this year: Lift more, get some style, better hair, et cetera. Basically look as good as I can, since I feel like a bog part of reinvention is a physical change. Also, try to wear some expensive clothes (Burberry, Gucci) since a lot of popular guys seem to like it- don't know how I'll get the money for it, though. Also, banging a hot girl will raise my SMV and get me more respect from guys. Thoughts?
