I do a decent amount of traveling and staying in hostels and going to pub crawls gives me exposure to girls socially. However, I can never really escalate. I have hooked up once (by chance..and both parties were super drunk) and held hands with a couple of girls but that's it. Most of the time I can't even get that far.

Is this truly a case of lack of knowledge on my part? If I was more experienced in seduction, would I achieve a better success rate? Sometimes I get the impression that most girls are just there to travel and not have an interest in hooking up. And then the girls I've held hands with.. It feels like I would need to take the interaction to an uncomfortable level with her, if I pushed it any further.
