Hi all,

Whenever I am in a social environment like a party and I see a hot girl I think she's too beautiful for me or something. Also when I'm with 'the cool guys' I feel very nervous. After doing some reading I concluded that I think their value is higher than my value (I put people on a pedestal). If I understand correctly, to counter this I can lower their perceived value in my head or increase my own value by working on myself.

However what I don't understand is how working on myself will solve the problem? I think can get straight A's or great muscles all I want but then I'll still be a loser but then a loser with good grades or nice cloths. To get girls of pedestal people say "realize yourself that there are 100 other hot girls" and "she isn't perfect". That's true I realize that, but I think the next hot girl is also gonna be too good for me.

I realize I'm in a vicious circle but I don't know how to get out.

Any advice what I can do to fix this problem?

PS: This is not the problem people call 'oneitis', because I'm not talking about one specific girl. To solve oneitis people say to go fuck 10 other girls. I'd sure like to do that, but that is exactly the problem..
