WARNING, LONG WALL OF TEXT
TLDR: Spent a year working on my game to approach my crush. With a help from destiny, approached her, wasn't the girl that I envisioned. Very, very disappointed. Guys who have a crush on a special girl, don't get your hopes up and expect her to be nothing like you imagined.
I don't know if you count this as a field report but I'm gonna share this. Today I finally had the opportunity to approach my crush. Let's call her Susan. I go to college in NYC, so the girls(people too) take class and leave, pretty much in and out of school. In my sophomore year of college I saw Susan and I thought she was pretty. She wasn't super hot with a rack and a cake. She was plain, but at that time I wanted someone like that. I've heard of Seddit at that time but I never got over my AA, now it's nothing. Whenever I saw Susan I wanted to talk to her and wanted her to be my girlfriend, but I never made the move. Days went by, nothing. Weeks and still nothing. Pretty soon the semester ended and I never took action. I took a semester off for personal reasons and I forgot about Susan.
A year later and busting my butt learning seddit, I slowly began changing myself, being better with woman etc. This semester, I finally saw Susan. Obviously her appearance changed(Hair, clothes) and all the thoughts that clouded me a year ago came before me.
It was different, at this point I approached a hundred woman and got rejected a lot, so why wouldn't this be any different? I didn't want to fuck this up. I wanted this approach to be perfect. Everything I did up until now was for this. A chance to overcome my fears and get my crush.
There was a problem, I wasn't very experienced with college game. This isn't a typical college with frat houses, dorms and weekend parties. It is a school where people take class, study, hang out for a bit and leave. That's it. Everyone is in and out. I approached other woman, it didn't work out the way I imagined. I didn't want other people seeing me as this thirsty, annoying, desperate guy who tries to get with every girl, so I turned it downed.
After getting used to this environment I was more or less comfortable to approach Susan. I know, reading seddit has taught me to take action and approach instantly, but we all had this special girl that we wanted to prepare for, right?.
I finally saw Susan but she was always with her friends. Even if she wasn't she would always walk super fast and go home or study. I didn't have a chance to approach. There WERE times where I could of done it, but my AA got the best of me. So month past and it wasn't going anywhere. But, today was that day, it happened.
I saw Susan in the library studying, I was going to plan to get up when she finished and open her but I missed my opportunity. Feeling down, I stayed for a while recollected my thoughts and left. As I was in the train station about to go home, something told me not to take the train. I can't explain it, it was like a gut feeling or something. My gut told me to stay for some reason. So I stayed walked around the platform and waited for the next train. There I was, walking around the platform, my head in the clouds, thinking about random things and in my sight there was Susan, walking past me.
I didn't hesitate, I went and approached her. I was very nervous, my mouth was dry, I was sweating in the inside, my body temperature went up and I was stuttering a bit. After all this time finally I thought I found the right girl. I just have to say the usual, charm her and get her number. Unfortunately It wasn't what I expected. Like the way she looked, she...was plain and boring. All she did was study, maybe she was lying? but I can tell she doesn't do much outside of school. She wasn't that responsive, she wasn't taking the hooks I try to place. She would answer me in a few words. She still had her head phones on, her body language was closed and shut in. The conversation was dull and boring. It became what I didn't want to be, an interview. As I was talking to her, trying to make things interesting all I can think about was if this chick talked to anyone in her life? I made her laugh a few times, took the train with her to her stop(which was about three, while I still had a lot to go), said bye and didn't ask for the number, I told her I'll see her in school. Disappointed.
My idea of my crush, the girl who I wanted wasn't the girl I expected. There could of been other factors, it could have been me. I think it was me, I didn't do it right. It was my fault. Maybe she had a bad day? who knows. I interacted and dated woman who were better. All I can say is that I feel like I've been lied to. I know that sounds stupid and retarded, but I feel like I been on the line of a roller coaster for hours only to be disappointed by the ride.
Sorry I know this has been long and boring. But I had to write this, I feel like I'm going around in circles. Just letting you guys know that if you have a crush on girl, chances are that she's not you expected her to be. Expect to be disappointed and don't get your hopes up.
