Hello everyone. I've been seeing a lot of posts that contain failures and self pity lately so I figured why not post my story for some inspiration.
I've been practicing the game for over ten years and I was a late bloomer. It's been a long winding road filled with many failures, but the final result is a guy who has no problems speaking to anyone especially to interesting girls.
About me: Just the typical Asian that focused on school and work. I was not blessed with looks being just 5'8 and because I had typical Asian parents, my ability to talk to people outside of school related activities was non existent. You could say my social development was severely impeded. Combined that with being an introvert and that was a recipe for disaster.
It was about a decade ago that I realized I really needed to do something because I was just scared of talking to people especially women. I had found the game due to mystery and started studying this and literally lapped up all the information I could regarding this. I would then try to do cold approaches on the street and boy was that painful. I would literally spend my entire weekend for six months straight walking around like an idiot seeing so many attractive women, but couldn't say anything. Every time I would try to talk to someone I would just chicken out at the last moment and walk away without even saying hi. The fear and internal struggle filled with angst and torment was just too much. It was so bad spending all that time just to get no results. You want to talk about wasting time well then this is hard to beat.
It wasn't until I met a guy named Nick who noticed I was walking around every weekend in that area and we started chatting. He was quite the sociable guy who was curious about why I was around the area so often doing nothing. I told him my story about wanting to just talk to people and not feel like I was about to die inside every time I tried to open my mouth. So he pushed me to go talk to people. I would just point out who I thought was interesting and he noted who it was. I would go up, but then freak out and walk back. Nick told me to go back out there and talk to her. He wouldn't even let up until at least I said hi. We started doing this one weekend per month until I finally got out of my shell and it was quite something. Thanks to his prodding I was able to finally break free from the shackles of fear.
It was not just about talking to people, but to actually transform my personality. From an introvert that couldn't muster the courage to say hello to holding a conversation with anyone was quite the turnaround. It certainly helped to also do all the other things to up your chances like improving dress, being more cognizant of your body language etc.
I really felt inspired to write my story because one of the posts today really struck a nerve as he had spent 5 hours today and felt like a pussy. Well if there was an award for being a pussy I think I should up there then since I literally wasted six months trying to say hi to random people and couldn't even do that.
Honestly, you can read all you want and try to practice on your own, but if you have been failing and continue the same routine, well that is just insanity. Having someone there to guide you and push you to get over that hump might be the most important thing. At least if you want progress. I honestly wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for some nosey guy who asked what I was doing.
I've been practicing in the Los Angeles area for over ten years now and it's been satisfying to help friends and their referrals out through weekend training. If you are interested in getting over that hump and need proof just message me. I can demo for you in person that I'm the real deal.
Btw, don't let excuses hold you back from meeting the woman of your dreams. Even in the age of social distancing women still want to talk to you. Just don't be a creep about it.
