IG following should be less than 1,000 and should include pages/people you’re genuinely interested in and know personally and have a high ratio of following you back. A high number of attractive followers is a plus, a high number of attractive following can be a red flag if the accounts make you look thirsty. You’re wasting money by being a poser on Instagram, you be better off posting less flashy content that displays your real interests and unique personality. If you’re trying to look cool, you’ll almost always come off as simp. If it’s genuine, you’ll almost always come off as cool. When approaching someone on IG it’s important to understand how many profiles this person goes through on the daily. You’re going to be a nobody. Start by warming up their awareness of you. Like their most recent photo. Follow. Wait. Watch their stories, but don’t be first, and don’t watch all of them. Do not like the next photo they post. Wait. Continue to watch stories sporadically. Like the next post (3rd). Do not comment anything ever until after you’ve established contact and are friendly/casual. Wait, watch stories, start reacting to a very select few of their best stories (quick response/emoji only) and do not initiate conversation. If she initiates, blow it off by liking the message (after some time) or keeping your response closed ended if necessary. You can now like any new posts she makes moving forward, but don’t be too quick or generous. Wait for a particularly juicy story post that you feel like you could really make a connection over, and respond to it with a message. You’re never telling her she’s gorgeous, you’re never diving right into let’s meet, and you’re never putting her down. Ideally you’re asking her a question about a shared interest, or sharing a titillating anecdote that relates directly to the post. This stimulates an easy going atmosphere after a long (not that long just longer than a lot of dudes actually wait) period of “introduction”. You don’t need to introduce yourself formally. She can see your profile. Treat it a bit like she’s anonymous and posted something you’re interested in, but it’s a drop in the bucket. After the initial conversation comes to a natural close, don’t push for more. Leave her wanting more, rather than dragging it out. Some time later when there is another engaging post or genuine reason for contact, you already have a casual relationship established and can comment on her pics (random emojis, funny comments, or just signs of approval (but not like hearts and simp shit)). The next time you naturally feel like a conversation can be had, you can ask her to meet if things are going well. Casual, cool, easy going, slow burn.

Also I'm working on cold approach slowly but it's not been too successful at the moment, but then again I've only done like a couple approaches so far. Instagram DM stuff seems attractive to me cause you have so many pretty girls from good unis and I want to find a way to almost make it like passive investing where I can build my Instagram so much that I get lots of dates easily.
