Is the book “The Flow” by Dan Bacon recommended?

Dan Bacon's book has brought up quite a bit of controversy among feminist circles (I recall one article calling the guy misogynistic https://slate.com/human-interest/2016/08/dan-bacon-s-dating-advice-is-horribly-flawed.html)

I wholeheartedly disagree with this article. I was an insecure 15 year-old stuck playing team fortress 2, PMO-ing on the daily, and you don't dare talk to girls because you're afraid of becoming the laughing stock of the group (and even more ostracized) Then I discovered 3 life-changing books, which I would recommend everyone read:

7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Stephen R, Covey
The Flow - Dan Bacon
Ishmael - Daniel Quinn

So, during the summer of my sophomore year in high school, I went on a sailing vacation, and voraciously read these three books, being surrounded by hot girls in summer clothing is Very motivating. That's something too, Dan Bacon really helps you get out of that blanket of security as he stresses time and time again that you need to ACT, that "knowledge is only power if you use it."

So I devoured all 3 fucking books, cover to cover, filled with writing, and my junior year of high school: All A's both semesters, asked out this cute but shy senior girl, on literally the library steps as I was walking to class. I WAS ON FIRE! Man the power of these three books revolutionized the way I think of myself, about important topics like meditation, studying to really learn.

I don't attribute all these successes to Dan Bacon, but the confidence you'll build, if you take care of the other life-aspects like work and school, and start caring about spirituality (or really just thinking about mind-blowing stuff like planets, just do what you love)
