Its always preferable to talk in person or over the phone than it is to text. If you call a girl it shows initiative and confidence and is far more aggressive than texting her, even if the actual content difference is subtle.

Texting also creates a lot of unnecessary ambiguity. You are literally more attractive when they see you in person or hear your voice, since they are actually having a sensory experience of you, rather than just reading what you're saying.

So if you have the time, make the conversation more direct and actually call her, or hang out with her face to face. Its makes it that much harder for her to resist you.
