Been reading this subreddit for awhile now and I thought I would share a useful piece of advice/way of looking at things that I haven't really seen addressed on here. I know it helped me out a lot.
When I was starting out college I wanted what all young bloods want... to get my d dubbed. And I can tell you dudes, with certain satisfaction, that is exactly what happened... the first couple of months. Then BAM a dryspell longer than Bow Wow's money. What did I start doing wrong? Why wasn't I pullin the ladies like before? I am still the same awesome guy. I'm still doing all the same things. I needed to take a step back and evaluate my approach.
The girls I had hooked up with I realized had come up to me. I never made the approach. Everyone the first couple of weeks at school is so friendly and eager to talk to as many people as possible. Once they were talking to me it was relatively easy, I can hold a conversation and am not entirely unbearable to look at. Not to mention I was usually wearing my liquid jacket, as were the ladies. I really didn't have to do much or exert much effort at all. Precisely the problem!
Essentially, I had just gotten lucky a few times. I had happened to be at the right party. A girl had happened to come talk to me. I had happened to be concious enough to put sentences together. I wasn't really spittin game or slaying girls, I wasn't inherently awesome, I was in the right place at the right time. It took a lot of soul delving to admit this to myself. Society uses the terms getting lucky and sex almost interchangably it seems. Though they aren't necessarily the same thing (as r/seduction readers understand). Getting lucky to me is that magical night where the stars allign, similar to so many field reports I've read. You're at your favorite bar, you lock eyes with some sex duchess who winks at you across the room, she loves halo, and it turns out she's got a fetish for the pubic trimmings you left on your toilet seat. Dudes this isn't realistic. And if it is, it only comes around once in a lifetime.
Don't get me wrong it's great to get lucky. There's nothing wrong with it. It's ok as long as you're honest with yourself about it afterwards. I wasn't honest with myself. All I had done is enrolled in college. Everyone at school was dying to make new friends the first couple of weeks and the amount of raging hormones in the air was palpable. I just stood there and didn't fight it. But when classes picked up and the social scene took a dip, it was as if I dipped my dong in Gold Bond. I didn't have a strategy and I wasn't doing anything right. Don't fool yourself into an ego boost. You need to continue to self improve and work on your game. Continue to go out and make approaches. Continue to practice conversation and kino. Continue to get laid.
