I apologize in advance for the formatting, I’m on mobile. One thing that I feel has held my game back is knowing when to be/not be persistent. I just got home from the bar where I met this cute girl. Upon first approaching her, I was greeted by a barrage of shit tests. I was surprised with how well I handled them. Eventually she mellowed out and we really began to vibe. During the interaction, she mentioned at least twice, the fact that we’d never see each other again. I didn’t think anything of it at the time, but looking back I feel she was telling me, “This is your only chance.” Prior to her leaving, I got her number and once again didn’t think anything of the fact that she claimed we’d never see each other again. I shot her a text telling her to make it home safe and recalled a joke from our interaction. Then yet AGAIN she mentioned the fact that we’d never see each other again but that she had fun. A friend of mine told me to be bold and ask to extend the night, which I did. However, at the time I didn’t realize her response was a shit test. She said she’d love to continue drinking with me but that she had to wake up early in the morning. At this point my friend suggested I continue pushing and to tell her, “Just a few minutes.” I decided on taking the safe route and said we should hang this weekend, to which she didn’t respond. In addition to getting her number, I added her on Snapchat earlier in the night. I assumed she’d fallen asleep; however, she viewed my newest snap in my Snapchat story which was about an hour and a half after our last text. I tend to overthink so do you guys believe there was anything here or am I overthinking? And if there was something, what in the future will indicate whether to be persistent and pursue more vs play the long game? Tl;dr: Met a girl and decided to play safe. In hindsight, that seemed like the wrong decision.
