I just wanted to share a quick story about something that happened to me yesterday:

I was out shopping, and I decided to pop into a store and browse around a bit. IMMEDIATELY upon walking into the store, I'm approached by this really cute chick. Funky hair, great style, etc. She works in the store, so I dunno if she's doing this to flirt with me or to get a sale, but it's irrelevant to the point I want to make.

She pulls me over to a rack of biker jackets, laughing, ("come here, come here!") and instructs me to try one on ("you need to try one of these jackets on.")

I flirt with her a bit, I get her laughing more/touching me, and I explain that I'm looking for some basic tees. I think I need a large, but she insists that I try a small on to get that 'spandex look'. As she leads me to a fitting room she starts dancing to the music playing in the store ("come on, we're dancing!") and I reflexively start dancing too.

As I talk to her she continues to make more jokes, sometimes quickly putting on a serious face that makes me doubt myself for a second before she flashes another impish smile.

There's more to the interaction, but the point is this: I'm normally very good at seeing girls as being 'at my level' as opposed to putting them on a pedestal (I've gotten much better thanks to seddit and The Blueprint), but as I spent more time around this girl I could feel myself being helplessly dragged down a couple pegs.

I was able to stay flirty and stay out of old AFC mode, but she seized the frame and led the fuck out of the interaction.

I just wanted to give it as an example of just how powerful you can be by asserting a strong, dominant, positive frame over the people around you. I had always read about it, and tried to put it into practice, but actually experiencing it from the other side of the fence really opened my eyes.
