Been lurking here for a while and taking in a lot of advice. Over the past few years, I’ve been focusing on myself—I wasn’t super active in the dating scene during college (most would probably describe me as a brown nerd). But for the last three years, I’ve been working out consistently, building confidence, and I can definitely see the difference in how girls interact with me now.
I need some advice on a situation with a girl I’ve been talking to. We have a few mutual friends, and I added her on Instagram a few months ago. She’s a bit older than me but gave me the green light early on, and our conversations were great for the first few weeks. I asked her out a few times, but we’ve never actually met in person—each time, she made some excuse. Her texting is inconsistent too—sometimes she replies within seconds, other times it takes 4–5 days. She even initiated meeting up, but it’s not until the end of next month.
At this point, I feel like she’s playing some kind of game, so I’ve been a bit distant and not feeding her much attention. If she lived in another city, I would’ve already cut her off, but since she’s local, I’m wondering if I should just wait it out or move on. I get that attractive girls sometimes like to test guys, but how would you guys navigate this?
