Going out with a shy wingman tonight. I guess I'd be more his wingman since I'm more outgoing and approach more. He's not cripplingly shy by any means. He just has a hard time approaching. Good looking dude, girls love him, he just doesn't like to approach. Seems like most of the wingman stuff I read about is one guy sacrificing his night and setting aside his desire to get the girl so that his friend does get the girl. I'm curious if you could just develop a routine where both guys get their own girl. Not sure if this is original or not, but here goes:

  • Find two cute girls.
  • You (the talker) and your buddy (shy guy) agree on who's going after which girl.
  • In this scenario, lets say the shy guy likes the redhead, you like the blonde.
  • Approach, and both the shy guy and the talker target the redhead. Ignore the blonde. Talker is talking up the shy guy to the redhead, shy guy is doing his thing.
  • After attraction has developed between the redhead and the shy guy, and the blonde has been on the back burner long enough, the talker then engages with the blonde, shy guy stays engaged with the redhead.

I understand the concept of ignoring the one you want to talk to is nothing new, but I've never read anything about where you ignore her only long enough to develop attraction between her friend and your friend.

Any reason why this would not work? Has it already been done countless times?
