I'd consider myself pretty decent/good with women at this point (one year being single chasing tale religiously). I dont have approach anxiety, I spark up conversations on a whim with whomever's around and always up tempo the game (escalate). I get numbers every night I go out and one night lays frequently. I have no problem holding down a girl for months until its run its course and I fail to commit (thats another topic).

The question I bring forth is, how do you deal when a girl calls you out for being too confident/cocky and they think you're a player? I've had this happen a few times and typically I've have no rebuttal and am left grasping for straws only to deflect the conversation and bring it back on to some earlier topic.

It happened to me tonight (1/16/13) and i brushed it off and kept the convo going and escalated. This particular girl was very down for getting into it, but she threw out the I just met you (first date, after meeting at a bar a week prior) and I want to but I cant (she initially said she thought i was a douche cuz i was too confident/cocky and seemed like I was a player). I played it off like a true gentlemen that wasnt trying to take advantage of her. We made out a few times over the course of the night and played grab ass before I put her in a cab. Next date is TBD, but I guarantee a close because she showed restraint the first time (we had some logistics problems which contributed to why she didnt come back tonight). POST EDIT: she texted me saying that maybe on date 2 i'd be able to pull her hair and slap her ass (shes into kinky shit, i can tell)... so yea, its on.

What are some good tips/advice for mitigating the player vibe with a girl that happens to be more cautious? There are some girls that just live for the confident charming guy, but there are others who've been burned before and have some reservations about going home with a guy that night.

Ultimately, can you blow bye that barrier that night? Or do you play the downtempo card to show that you're not only interested in fuckin her that night and pick up on date 2. I've neutralized this by laying low and waiting for date 2, but i was just curious if you could dismantle that reservation on that night.
