I always think it's going fairly well, but then they suddenly say oh it's getting late, go home and don't text me back the morning after.

OP, are u doing kino, escalating, etc. or you just sitting there for hours on end talking? Sounds like you just sit there and give ur life story. There's no more mystery and quite boring honestly

Could use some advice from the community.

1st date: 30-45min coffee date. 2nd date: cook dinner at ur place

You need to give more information.

What are you doing on these dates? Is the conversation 50/50? One of the mistakes I made that fucked up my early dates is that i was just a listener. Girls would give stories and talk but i wouldn't. So, it fucked up the date. Later, i had issues with how to get them engaged in the conversation and stuff. But, to give proper advice, i would need to know what you're doing now.

Some general advice: watch talk shows. Pay attention to how some guests such as Jonah Hill tell their stories (You tell a story by what you saw, felt at the moment and thought). That way your stories are engaging. For example if i said, I made some guy uncomfortable at Meijers...that would be bad because I would be just giving facts. If i said, my buddy and i were at meijers and i was bored waiting for him to check out. so there is this blk guy who greets people at the front door. im near him. So, i thought...why not have a lil fun while i wait. So, i look at him every ten seconds and smile to make him think im hitting on him. He looks at me and just tries to ignore it. Hes obviously a lil homophobic. so, now its fun...i keep doin it a bit and its super funny to me...blah blah blah.

Don't be fact based in your stories...paint a picture. Make them feel like they're there.

Another issue you could have is you're being TOO negative. being a lil negative is alright but if you're too negative, its a turn off.

another issue you could have is you're not opinionated enough/not expressing enough. How well do you know your likes and dislikes? Are you talking about her only?
