some exposition before I start this, I'm a 17 male from Ireland, been researching and watching/reading/studying this stuff since I was 14 and a lot of the things that are taught are tailored towards more mature girls (duh) so many things did not work to girls that were still listening to one direction. I have had relationships when i was younger but I always did seem them as very "immature" romances. but now I'm at a point in my life where the things ive learnt work more effectively than the techniques of my "natural peers".

but anyway, my date: we arrange to meet outside a very obvious building in my town, i got there on time, which I believe is an AFC move if I'm honest (being early is definitely and AFC move) so instead of waiting outside the building in the cold as I usually would, I went into the building and walked around looking at stuff for an extra 10 mins to then find her outside. We did the naturally "oh yeah, were you waiting long?" act everybody does, and started walking to the restaurant we were planning on going to. it was an Italian place so I thought "why not, how many Facebook posts make about pizza, we'll share a pizza" this is where I thought I made my first mistake 1. Pizza is not a good meal for a first date pizza is messy and fattening which might be enjoyable while lying in home watching some chick flick or something, it is really not attractive to see a date struggle to keep all the cheese in they're mouth. I ended up ending most of the pizza whereas she ate like two slices, we ended up chatting on very basic topics things like "where do you wan to travel? how many siblings do you have? what's your dream job?" these are what i like to call "Interview questions": these are the questions you expect and interviewer to ask a big start celebrity when doing a piece on them as they were growing up, stuff that may sound interesting at the time, but can run dry very quickly and fails to build rapport. when we left the restaurant I we had only been chatting for like an hour, and the night was still young, so we walked and I brought her to a spot near the town river, it was intimate but still in public, so we could get to increase the comfort level between each other, we sat down and chatted more, less about the interview question and more anecdotal talks, it would go along the lines of "(highlights something currently present)+ (relate to an anecdote) +(the anecdote highlights a personality trait)" I don't know how well this can work in other cases but it seemed to really grab the attention of the date. I feel ashamed to say i did not try any kino while talking but we were already quite close to each other and somehow was still able to go in the the kiss, we were sitting side by side at the river so I brought my hand to her chin and went in for the kiss, kinda like the way you see in movies but probably not as well executed,we were kissing and this was where I started the kino (a little late) and when i felt things were going well. I stopped. I wanted to show her that even the guy can stop this act, we may seem like all we want is sex, but when you show her you can stop it too, it feels empowering. when I stopped I explained that there was a comedy bar nearby I knew and they were having a big show on, so we went to it. the changing of locations is one often suggest by mystery and other pua's since it gives her the feeling that your having lots of experiences with him so the date feels more alive. if any of you noticed, yes I said I was 17 and yes we went to a bar, one upside to Ireland not many places are strict about id's and stuff, especially in smaller towns where they're happy for any business. meaning if you cocky enough or if you know the right people, you can get into places your friends would kill to go to. I'm getting sidetrack, we went to the comedy bar and watched all the gigs, it was a good show, but there were areas in felt i didn't use correctly and these areas were: 1.Alcohol 2.corners 3.other women 4.lighting

I'll go through each individually

  1. Alcohol as a 17 year old Irish male, alcohol should be my best friend, my wingman, and i DO NOT MEAN getting the date drunk, that's RAPE. in the movie "Roger Dodger" starring Jessie Eisenberg (good movie) roger states that drinking is necessary to social success, its been used for decades to make people more comfortable and less anxious, and not using it is the same as not eating healthy food before exercising, your only making it harder for yourself, granted too much drinking is bad, but a gin and tonic or a cider can really help relax you when you need it.

2.corners places like comedy clubs and bars all have corners, because that's simple architecture, but in a place where everybody is looking at a stage and your in the corner with your date, a lot of kino can be done without her feeling watched or uncomfortable.

3.other woman granted this is an area that I would need your opinion, I feel like it could work both ways, she might want to try and get my attention if a focused on other girls but at the same time she could also get really salty and not want to talk for the rest of the night, ill need help there

4.lighting one of the best things about a comedy club is the lighting, it can be dark when they are performing and that gives you intimacy similar to a cinema but it can also get brighter on breaks to allow you time to talk and converse with your date, which cinemas don't

sadly I didn't try any of these areas myself, I just watched the comedy night and laughed a lot, enjoyed the acts, had small talk during the breaks and left the place not really improve my place with her. the rest of the night wasn't that interesting, we went back to the river spot, continued kissing, didn't go any further with kino, and just stopped kissing when she had to go home. done.

in conclusion there were things I thought I did better than an AFC, but I still need a lot of improvement, but not bad for a first try. any tips, comments or questions please leave below, I'll answer them as honestly as I can
