Prompted after a phone call from a long time friend I made through the game:

I see a lot of posts here for shortcuts and miracle cures to how we used to be. The struggle is an important path for all of us, but looking over this forum day in and day out I see a lot of men, who forgot to get off at their stop. We focus too much on what it is to get the next best woman, to the point where we forget to be the best man for THE best woman - yeah, that betrays the teachings of one-itis... but that's where the line lies. We talk recommend our favorite teaching materials and rest assured I'll do the same, but what we forget to tell each other is the punch-line.

Anyone who has started down this path and figured it out, we neglect to tell each other that the routines, the natural game, the hours at the gym, the countless nights at the clubs, the innumerable rejections and the stories of glory is that all of this, all of the struggle isn't about the women, isn't about our dicks, the sex. It's about us. What the guys who are really good, truly bullet proof (but still vulnerable) is that we simply are. What makes a true man is the his journey, his struggles, his pain, and from that his lessons.

The men who are happy in ourselves (punchline: that's the end game, not pussy) we've learned how to accept ourselves and how to hold our heads high despite anything else. We've learned to see ourselves the way our mothers saw us (no intended disrespect to anyone who's had to endure that pain).

Fellas, it's just that simple... and terribly difficult at the same time. Which is the entire point.

As promised, I'm going to recommend books that helped me realize my potential to be the MAN that I always wanted to be. And have led me to be a man that I can look at in the mirror and feel respect for.

1.) King, Magician, Warrior, Love: The Archetype of the Mature Masculine - Robert Moore, Douglas Gillette (or any Jungian Psychology for that matter)

2.) The Selfish Gene - Richard Dawkins and quite possibly the most imporatant

3.) Partners in Healing & The Courage to Heal - Laura Davis (because we need to KNOW the fine line between handling last minute resistance and being a monster) bonus for the game junkies, even though I followed the Love Systems teachings, the book that helped me to grow:

4.) Model - Mark Manson

Note: Expecting to get downvoted to oblivion
