If next day is not getting results.... Text once within an hour and say it was cool to meet you... if she doesn't text back forget her.

If she does, then the next day invite her out or tell her you'll be somewhere at ?o'clock and she's welcome to join you. (should be super chill place) and you should have something to do in case she flakes (bookstore, getting coffee, library, comedy show, some event that is super chill).

Then they probably don't like you, so they ignore you. I really don't mean to be rude, but that might be it. If it's the case you have to work on your game and appearence.

Short answer: Most probably you didn't create enough attraction during the interaction. Sometimes guys can create enough comfort to get the number, or sometimes they say the right things to push the girl in to giving the number. But after the interaction the girl will realise there was no attraction.
