So, I’ve finally realised how badly wrong I have been going in life.
My story : I got a date with a hot girl about 14 months ago or so through Tinder.
I got extremely attached after just a few dates, she had all the power and I messed that up badly. I got jealous of another guy and felt terrible for months after that. Seriously depressed and jealous, bad case of one-itis.
After a few months I started feeling better as I started to forget her, I didn’t do anything to improve myself in this time and she still came into my head every now and then (what if? etc)
So come to March this year, I’m ready to try it again. I got another date with a hot girl on Tinder, we spoke intimately for a few months before we finally met up a few weeks ago. I felt it happen all over again, she is more distant since we met and I don’t feel the date went that well. It didn’t go badly as such, she was laughing a lot of the time but I was definitely not confident or masculine enough. I had no plan, asked her what she wanted to do etc, I now see my failings.
Since then I’ve read ‘No more Mr nice guy’ and it has hit me with a large dose of much needed reality. Wow I was going so badly wrong. I am not an interesting person in my opinion, I don’t have many hobbies and most of my friends live 50 miles away so I only see them at the weekends.
So, after reading through seddit and also reading that book, I have found a new zest for life, I feel this is a turning point. I need to grow as a person and become interesting. I need to become confident which means facing my fears. I am fully ready for this. I came to realise I can’t blame the girl for not being interested, I wouldn’t be if I was her!
So my question to you fine folks is this… after reading that book and reading through the forum a bit (which has helped me massively) what next? Do you think there are other books I should also read?
I’ve since applied for some part time midweek bar work as a busy bar with lots of people (mainly women) is something that I feel uncomfortable with. I’m also starting Karate (koyokushin) on Monday as I am a weakling and pretty scared of any physical contact.
Any other advice is greatly appreciated.
