ah i just saw your post below about not wanting sex outside of a committed relationship. i get that, but there's a lot of seduction that leads up to sex that you can use without having sex (kissing, cuddling, holding hands, hugging, etc). while i do think men and women have drastically different issues from a seduction perspective, i think a key for both genders is to make it fun. if you start getting too much in your own head, getting too serious, clingy, desperate, it's gonna kill the vibe. Ha…

i think you should try and sleep with him. i could totally see a scenario where he likes you but is shy, and has another girl that is openly into him, and because he's a bit insecure he's afraid to push things with you. as a guy, if you've known a girl for a long time, it's actually quite hard to get the confidence to make the transition into something romantic, as there's more risk for embarrassment and losing a friend. having a conversation about being exclusive right now seems a bit weird. in…

i meet a lot of pretty girls so for me it comes down to a girl's personality when i'm choosing which one to hang out with. i often find i'll start talking to a really hot girl, then spend the night with the less attractive, but much cooler friend. deep, interesting girls are much rarer than hot girls, so if you're already physically attractive to a guy, focus on finding common interests and being interesting and challenging. a strong man likes being challenged by strong women. as for "destroying…

Yah, I'm thinking a bit more shit tests might be in store, and that should be careful to not show her too much attention (since her male friends probably do a lot of that and I need to remain different than them).

From what I've read, many PUAs don't drink while in the field. Mystery encourages sargers not to drink so they don't have their faculties clouded by alcohol (and probably also because so they can overcome social anxieties while sober in order to really grow as a person and PUA)

Awesome and helpful response. You're right about so much of that. I've already started reading "No More Mr Nice Guy" and there's so much truth for me in there. He speaks of paradigms by which we live, and I think I'm realizing that my paradigm for a romantic relationship might be a big part of the problem. I hide a lot of myself, and I think that the romantic side is something I don't, and have never, felt comfortable expressing. I have never even felt comfortable telling my parents when I was d…

Glad to hear this has been helpful. I'd be curious to hear what your situation was like and how everything went down. It's nice to hear others' stories to feel like you're not the only one it's happening to. It's weird that right after this happened I felt the immediate urge to post on this site, not speak with a real life friend, because I knew what their advice would be: "Ah that sucks. You're awesome, though. It's her loss." I knew this community would instead respond "get your shit together …

I appreciate the honest talk, but in my post I literally said "this is not a post of self-pity. Fuck that. I am writing this because it's time to make a change. I am going to embrace the methods of the seduction community and transform myself." The point was that I've decided to use this heartbreak as an incentive to change my ways.

i DEFINITELY need help with this. even if it isn't affecting the girl's perception of me, it puts ME through hell, which is enough reason to get it under control.

ok, i'll buy them both tomorrow. what about my story made you think of those books? i'll plead ignorance here on not knowing what "inner game" actually means.

All very good advice, thanks. Though the feeling I have now is like I have been hit by a truck full of bad emotions, it's actually better than it has been the past ten days or so, when I knew that something weird was going on, but couldn't tell exactly what. i prefer the finality of my current situation to the confusion of the previous ten days. And yes, you're right about needing to grieve a bit before making a quick turnaround.

i will check out both of those, thanks. and you are totally right about feeling too needy with this one. the frustrating thing is that with 99% of girls I am not this way. It's only when I really like a girl that this comes out, which has only happened twice before... :-/

yes, i feel it like an ache in my chest. i also feel it in the connection we had at a friendship level. i am physically attracted to many girls, but to very few at the level of deep friendship. i am wondering if that is part of my problem - that the girls i actually like are ones that I find really compelling as friends, and so I overdo the friendship aspect of the relationship and underplay the emotional/romantic element. which sucks though because personality is the #1 thing which attracts me …

care to elaborate? because at this point i have no idea what my problem is.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
