this is also why i dont think seduction technically qualifies as self-help. as you're helping yourself to do what exactly? some guys here really follow gurus somewhat dogmatically, i've spoken to a few. is finding "love" good for those gurus businesses?

The main problem is with the word seduction, which means exactly that, not love, not finding a girlfriend or wife, not even getting a better life. So, if you take that word literally, it means exactly that. However, this sub is of course targeted at helping guys with their romantic interests, basic concepts of how to actually seduce a girl to have sex with him, and as there are different groups of people who have different approaches to that, there are different schools of teachings how to achieve their goals.
This includes the pure seduction, which I already said, then there's the "getting put of your head" group who try to just fix their own inner game problems to be able to even talk to a girl, there's also the "to achieve success with women, you need to succeed in life" group and so on.
The Main point of this is, this sub isn't about just emotionless fucking, as you imply, just because there is no focus on how to make a girl love you. In fact I doubt there is even a way to achieve that by a certain applicable strategy, since love is something that grows out of many different reasons, and which is extremely subjective to both parties involved.
That said, if you try to find love, you should not hang out on your PC and read stuff on the internet, you should interact with women and see where things lead you, and at one point you might feel love and if you're lucky, she will too. That's why this "finding love" isn't a subject in seduction.
