New training instructor at my local gym. Blond/brown hair, blue eyes and a beautiful face. I engage in a conversation with her. I introduce myself. Her name is A[...]. I say it's a beautiful name. She smiles and says 'thank you'. Later, when I've changed into gym clothes, I go over to her by the counter and say:

"You know, it's an unusual thing to say, but there is something timelessly beautiful about you. Something with you hair and... your gaze." I liken her beauty to that found in old paintings from the renaissance and upwards. She is all smile and giggles and thanks me for what she calls "a warming thing to say".

"I don't feel so beautiful today, but thank you," she says while stroking the side of her neck.

"Really?" I ask. She thanks me for the compliment yet again. I go and work out, feeling like a king.

When I'm done working out, I walk confidently over to her.

"Listen, A[...], I have an... unusual suggestion," I say as I slowly place my cell phone on the desk. I smile, slowly poking my finger at the cell phone while looking her in the eye. She bursts out giggling.

"I do have a boyfriend," she says. - "So... I don't think he would..." A giggle.

"Oh, I was gonna suggest that you came home to my place and I draw you," I say casually.

"I don't think he would like that," she said, still smiling, her voice giggling. I shrug with a casual smile. - "So you draw?"

"Yeah, a bit. But I mostly write. I'm an author on my spare time." True.

"So, do you write like novels and short stories?" she asks. - "Have you been published?"

"I write stories, and I have been published on occasions." True. Then I tell her about a website where my stories can be found. - "Right now I'm working on a novel."

Right then two foreign guys come over and inquires her about balls for squash playing. She explains to them that they can buy balls for [price]. I remain standing there with a friendly demeanor and smile and laugh along with them. After they're gone, I say, still confident as all Hell:

"Balls aren't expensive."

"No, they're pretty easy to get," she says with a smile.

"Oh, yeah," I say.

Then I tell her about the novel I'm writing on, and that the protagonist in it actually has the same name as her (also true). That gets her intriduged.

"She has? Really?" A soft giggle.

"Funny coincidence, right?" I ask.

We end the conversation and I go and take a shower. I write down the name of the website and my user name on a piece of paper from the log book I carry with me to the gym. Back in the gym I elegantly hands her the note, explaining what it is.

"Check out my stories, A[...]," I say. - "You will be in stitches, I guarantee."

"Thanks, I will check it out," she says with a smile.

We say goodbye and I leave. I've asked a girl for her phone number in a bold and daring manner (although I technically didn't ask for it in words, but she understood it nonetheless when I put my cell phone down on the counter). She said she had a boyfriend, and it may very well be the case too. Point is, if I hadn't attempted, the answer would have been no. I took a chance and seeing her smile and giggle was exhilarating. It made my day.
