Gentlemen of Seddit. Tonight I am going to discuss being a leader with you. I haven't been on here in quite some time, as my affiliations with pickup have blossomed and changed my life in unpredictable and incredible ways. I've been busy as shit enjoying having a social life, friends, hobbies, and of course meeting plenty of women (not sleeping with them, but strangely I don't care. Having too much fun to worry about it.)

Tonight I am going to talk to you about becoming a leader of men. Now I am a bit of a natural leader, and my abilities to lead groups have blossomed in the last three months.

Rule number one about being a leader is that you don't try to lead or take over a group. You simply assume your rightful position as the leader. What I mean by this is, if you are in a group milling around indecisive pick something and do it. Then just go. People will follow you, they want someone to take charge and lead. That's why they are standing around. Sedditors, that someone is you and all you have to do to become the leader is do it.

Now that being said there are some important things to know when selecting things to do. You should always lead the group to activities they will enjoy. Otherwise they will not follow you, then you're lame. As the leader it is your goal to make sure that everyone in the group is thoroughly enjoying themselves. Talk to everyone in the group as you lead them. Bounce around, as you talk to them you will find out about things they might like. (for example, I was leading a group of about ten people around the Vegas strip. Guy wanted a giant alcoholic slushie. So I led the group to a place where he could get one).

Be open to suggestions. Don't just boss people around, telling them what to do. If someone suggests something that might be fun for the group GO DO IT! Be spontaneous!

Groups with no leader are simple. All you have to do is assume the role. Groups with a leader are a little bit trickier to win over, and you won't always be able to do it. But you can take them over, and if not become the existing leaders right hand man increasing your value and showing leadership qualities nonetheless.

Sometimes you will run into groups led by people who do not really want to lead. If you are calibrated enough you may notice that they look to others for help leading the group. This is where you can come in and become the leader, and these people will not mind one bit. They weren't comfortable there to begin with.

When attempting to take over a group with a leader the first thing you have to do is earn the respect of the current leader and show that you are not a threat to his leadership. You do this by becoming a member of the group. Never directly challenge a leader, especially if they are a natural leader (ie alpha). It won't end well, and will lower your value among the group. No-one likes a try hard.

The same principles of the group apply. But your mission is to befriend the leader of the group and earn his respect. While you do this demonstrate your leadership qualities on a smaller scale. Break off a few members of the group for side adventures and rejoin the group later. If he has trouble making decisions, assist him with making them. It is difficult leading large groups of people sometimes and if you make good suggestions he won't mind. Once he sees that you are also a leader, he will view you as an equal, or possible a right hand man. You can lead the group together as bros of sorts. Occasionally they will just let you take over the group completely.

Most importantly, have FUN! Being a leader is fun! Seeing your group having a great time, and knowing that you are playing a part in their good times.
