so a few months ago i decided on a whim to delete my facebook account. I was never the worst addict, but I can say I spent too much time on there and I posted something every couple of days for the past 7 or 8 years. Unlike most I didn't feel obligated to notify everyone days in advance to sensationalize my absence.. I just left.

Guess what? I've been hearing from people I haven't talked to in ages. Women in my social circle suddenly seem so much more interested in me when we bump into each other. One person who normally would have greeted me with a polite "hey, how have you been" met me with "OMG TOSSA WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? GIVE ME A HUG RIGHT NOW!" She wants to hang out this weekend. People have also been figuring out my phone # and randomly hitting me up / calling me to make sure we can keep in contact. One aquaintance called me three times, and on the third time I answered the phone (didn't recognize the number after all) and she greets me with "OOOps, oh hi Tossa, I meant to call my mom hehehe, is this your number?"

Now these aren't girls I would normally talk to on social media, more like acquaintances I'd run into at a party once a month or so. It just goes to show you that people (women especially) are into mystery and inaccessibility.

tldr; deleted facebook and people are more interested in my life. I also waste less time on the computer (note: I still waste a lot of time on the computer)
