95-98% of my openers are of me talking to a girl about something we both see (ex: if I see her also looking at someone being rude to the bartender i’ll go up & say “Yo what’s their deal?”). It works 8/10 times since we have something to talk about, i was able to get a convo going so we can both introduce ourselves, and i can then start building the vibes

People are different, but your approaches are too cheesy for my taste. PUA type of stuff doesn’t really work since more people are being aware of it (including girls) so they’ll smell a genuine approach over a cookie-cutter type of opener (your #2 really felt cookie-cutter)

Try first approaching a woman without thinking of a script, then see if it worked. If it was weak, think of something will spark a convo instantly

i have no suggestions. but i do think number one is nice, but just in public, out during the day, number two might not work.
