So opening a set isn’t really hard for me, neither is getting the group to like me, what I do have a problem with is having the group be engaged, especially the girl I want to be engaged with me. I’ve been told to just ignore the girl you want in the first 5mins if entering a set and Neg her every now and again before you single her out, but how do you not be awkward with that. I was at a bar tonight and I went up to a table, played some games with the guys in the group and then opened the set, 5 guys, 3 girls, the guys were chill with me, as were the girls, but one of the girls was the one I wanted, it seemed like one of the guys was her boyfriend, but i wasn’t sure. I opened them up and had a couple laughs then I transitioned to do some magic for them, some mentalist, couple tricks here and there to make me the center of attention and show some value, the girl I wanted was laughing at my jokes, and everything, I ignored her cause that’s what I thought was right, I didn’t even neg her in fact. It got to a point where she was just disengaged in what I was doing. So my question is, how can I keep the group engaged and get a reaction from the girl I want in order to single her out and escalate? Btw, I’m reading the book “The Game” by Neil Strauss, great book, and the stuff in it works, but I did get called awkward doing my mentalist trick with one of the girls, and I just wasn’t confident enough I guess to single the one girl I wanted out, Idk if it’s because I thought the guy she was talking to was her boyfriend or what. What do you guys think?
