Here's a plan for you:

Go outside.
Talk to someone.
Repeat Step 2 until you talk to a HB6+.
Ask her out. If she says no, repeat step 2.

You don't need advanced techniques since you're new to this and young. Just go out there and figure out what works for you. Also, just be a fucking man. You can't plan how you're going to meet your next girlfriend. All you can do is dress well and be a fucking man when you speak to women and soon enough, you'll have a girlfriend and you'll be on reddit looking for nice ways to dump her (hint: be a man and just tell her it's over).

This is probably easier solo, I've done it. Get two items of clothing and ask women shoppers (not women shopkeepers) for their opinion. Women love to dress up guys. If the set hooks, you can declare them your "shopping buddy" and take them around with you, a mini-bounce within store departments (e.g. "now help me find some nice dress shoes").

But your idea kind of doesn't work, if you ask girls what you should buy your girlfriend (who is in the store with you) they'll just be wondering why you aren't asking her what she wants. You're seeking women's opinions (a weird sort of opinion opener) on clothing choices, if you've already got a woman to ask, random strangers could wonder WTF you're doing.

Oh BTW, don't be a pussy, you don't need your woman friend to escort you into the women's section of the store. A man solo shopping for women's clothes has no fear of being seen looking at women's clothes, it's a DHV. You're obviously buying for a woman, that shows social awareness and is another DHV. But if you get all nervous the moment you see a shelf full of bras and panties, you are having approach anxiety for inanimate objects. What are you going to do with your AA over approaching a woman who is wearing a bra and panties?

I like the preselection angle, but no clue how immature teenage girls will react to it.
