I wanted to know what you guys think about my following theory. This post will not be specific to genders and sexual orientations since the theory can be applied to women as well to men. Plus, it focuses mostly on relationships after you've known the person for more than a few days.
I believe than when a person A feels a great attraction towards person B (or cares a lot about her), A will tend to overreact to what B does. This overreaction can either be positive or negative. For example, if B makes a casual joke, A will laugh a lot. Contrariwise, if B deceives A in some way, A might shut down any way of communication between the two in hopes of punishing B and protecting herself. This negative overreaction can reveal itself in other manners such as: great anger, passive-agressive speech against B, etc.
So, what is behind that thinking you might ask? Humans are creatures of habit and stability. Even though they might take risks at times, we will often strive towards stability. We all hate being hurt by the people we care about; our brain wants to protect us to maintain our self love and stability. However, reacting like we have a bipolar disorder could be a bit contradictory, but it's only our brain trying to keep our frame of thought and overall happiness. This is why we might easily feel angry and disappointed when the one we love doesn't comply to how we want him to behave.
If a person C's reaction is mild to nonexistent, it might suggest that they feel indifferent about person D. If C shuts down all communications with D but doesn't act any different when she sees D in person, it might indicate that C doesn't wish to waste her time on D, since C couldn't care less.
This theory obviously applies to longterm seduction when there is an actual chance of committing to a more serious relationship. I think there is little chance this theory could be seen as attraction if the two have only just met. There have to be other psychological dynamics at play that can only be seen after at least a few days of interaction.
TL;DR: Based on your personal experience, do you believe we react in a radical fashion to somebody's actions if we truly care about that somebody? How could this be applied to seduction in general? Could it be a way of reading through the mixed signals from a girl or a guy?
