A little less than a month ago I asked this hb8.5 chinese international student out to coffee. We did coffee and walked around and talked and it was fine. Verbally my game was solid but I didn't escalate my kino, it just didn't feel right. Date ended with an awkward hug outside of her apartment. Whatever, I chalked it up to cultural differences and moved on.

A couple days later I got out of a gig and shot her a text about a restaurant she mentioned and getting dinner there, it was last minute and she said she'd love to but was out of town for the weekend, no dice.

A few weeks later I saved her ass on a project and brought her into my group which coincidentally was me and a bunch of girls. I ran the project and bullshitted a presentation at the last moment that was pretty damn good, public speaking is my thing. I think the combination of nonchalantly getting her an A/ running shit in a project/ my group being entirely women with at least 2 of them showing iois increased my value.

She's an advisor at my school's career center so I asked for her advice on an email I was sending to an employer and she was actually really helpful. I told her I'd take her out to dinner as a thank you and her condition was that we go to the place that I had asked her to earlier.

I have a free night tonight so I hit her up and we're going out. She's even letting me drive her car (my car's engine finally bit it after 263xxx miles) which is a brand new g37 so I'm pretty stoked for that but I'm still bemused as to how I have a second date with this girl after in my mind the first date went so terribly. She said I was the first American to ask her out so I feel like I have some leeway there. Can I play this just like I would for a girl from my country or am I going to have to do things slowly and dance around a cultural divide? Mostly I just wanted to organize my thoughts on this girl nd hear your opinions because as it is I'm fairly confused.

Thanks for reading and any and all advice or commentary!
