A little background: I have zero experience with girls(never had a kiss, went on a date, etc), but during the last year or so I've had pretty good results working on myself: in shape, became more assertive, can finally keep a job, doing well in college etc, .. I would call my lifestyle fairly attractive, except for the fact that I have no social life to the point where I have 0 people who'd consider me a friend, and it's been like that for years.
Since I started reading seddit 9 months ago, I've made improvements in keeping up conversations, body language, got more comfortable in public places, but still fail to put the #1 piece of advice into practice: "grow a pair and talk to girls". I think the main reason I'm so afraid of taking this crucial step is that I fear being judged and getting a bad reputation with people I'll see again in my everyday life(work, college). And yes, I have something to lose: my job,
I'm planning on travelling (alone) across multiple countries this summer. Besides taking part in a lot of fun activities, I want to use this holiday to practice my social skills/game around people I'll never see again. Plan is simple: talk to lots of girls(and other strangers), finally put some of the seduction theory I've been reading into practice, and get myself a crapload of helpful insights which give me more confidence when I get back.
Question: has anyone here tried such a thing before? Did the lack of people you'll see again help you get over any fears? Did talking to people back home become easier? Of course helpful insights from people who haven't tried it are also welcome :)
there doesn't seem to be anything here
