I just sat down to a delicious dinner of salmon. A girl was supposed to join me but she had to meet one of her girlfriends who needed comforting. Snapped a picture of the salmon on a bed of spinach and sent it to her. Guess whose's on her way over because she had to try it after seeing the picture? (Granted I've been seeing this girl quiet often lately, and we're close to a relationship.)

That's not really my point though. I've pulled back from the bar to my place for a snack. Easiest thing? Grilled cheese. Alton Brown has a killer video. You can get her to grate the cheese while prepping, do the flip while holding the her hand that has the spatula, tease her she cant make a simple grilled cheese.

It doesn't end there. In the morning making a omelete from fresh salsa (pico de gallo works too), not the cheap stuff from a jar (check in your grocery by produce) will have her saying "I have to come back over." You can make it even better by having the pre-cooked bacon around, microwave, cut, add to omelet.

Inviting her over to cook with you is also fantastic. Get her to do small things chop this, grate that, toss this, etc. You get to be in control of the over-all show. Have her taste things while cooking too. When you're done you both get to sit down together to a nice meal. You can feed each other from forks, etc. Then cleaning up is fun too, splash her with water, hug from behind. When all is said and done, You've spent about 3 hours, telling her what to do, making something together, telling stories about you favorite food, laughing, and having good food. I usually have a bottle of wine open through the whole thing (you can even pair it if you're fancy), but it's easy enough to grab the bottle and move to the couch. The whole thing demonstrates huge amounts of value as well, you're not helpless when it comes to the kitchen.

The whole cooking thing isn't that hard either. I watched a lot of Alton Brown's "Good Eats," he broke things down to science which appealed to me. He also had a boat load of terrible puns, which I promptly stole and reused while cooking with girls. If you're going to buy a book, The Joy of Cooking is your bible. Seriously, nothing else comes close. It's got technique recipes etc. even then you dont really need it. The internet is full of recipes and videos. I learn how to do the pan toss form watching videos.

Another benefit I noticed is that I would practice dishes on my own, wich resulted in me eating healthier because I was using less processed things and eating out less. It also starts to save you money once you get a basic spice cabinet. Not to mention you can easily cook something like blacked fish, vegetable, pair a wine, and even dessert for like $35, where that would be $50-70 at a restaurant.

TL:DR: "I bet you dont even know how to make a proper grilled cheese sandwich! Come on, I'll show you." Can get her to your place. Sending her off with a full stomach in the morning will have her coming back to see you
